MusicFree blank 6 string guitar tab with 11 staves or 9 staves GarageBand Work-around: Write music in a time that is NOT 4/4, such as 3/4 or 6/8I wanted to make some simple mp3s for my friends and myself to practice with between sessions, so I started learning GarageBand. I found a lot of great web tutorials (links here) on how to enter music into GarageBand, print the score, and out put the song as an mp3. I succeded with the first one, but hit a serious roadblock with the second one. All the loops were grayed out (unavailable). So once again I googled the problem, and found a hint. GarageBand only shows the loops it has available in the key signature and time you specify. Apparently GarageBand's default loops are only in 4/4 time! So I reset the project to C major and 4/4 time. All the loops showed up. I selected one in 4/4, changed the time and key, and went to work. The tutorials in the links are very detailed in how to do all this.
